Taconic speeding stop leads to 3 arrests

Three men were arrested Thursday after state troopers stopped their car on the Taconic State Parkway and found
drugs, state police said.

The driver of the car was speeding, state police said.
After the car had been pulled over, troopers saw a clear plastic bottle containing marijuana, state police said.
As the investigation continued, a passenger in the back seat was observed holding a clear plastic bag containing
Ecstasy pills, which he attempted to hide under the front passenger seat, state police said.
The passenger, Matthew Guzman, 21, of the Bronx, was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled
substance, a felony, according to state police.
A 23-year-old man from Hudson Falls was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation.
Troopers then learned that another passenger, from Glens Falls, was wanted by the Pike County, Miss., Family Court,
for allegedly failing to pay child support.
Guzman was sent to the Dutchess County Jail on $15,000 cash bail or $30,000 bond, and was ordered to appear June
1 in Clinton Town Court.
The 23-year-old was was given an appearance ticket and released.
The man wanted on the warrant out of Mississippi was sent to the Dutchess County Jail without bail, pending extradition.
